To put it bluntly, you'd be a lot better off just staying in WoW. You're not entitled to special privileges here. To jump on my high horse for one quick moment, you quite frankly don't DESERVE to be making the same isk as a player who has invested time in and out of the game learning the market and mining tricks. You don't deserve to be doing the same damage or have the same utility in a combat situation as myself and fellow veteran pilots. You don't deserve to run level 4 missions. Why? Because you have spent more time running skills through the calculator and whining on the forums than actually playing. And where do I get off saying this?
Two weeks in, I had my eve career planned out. Not my skills (quite frankly I had no clue what to train right then), but I knew what I wanted. So, I pack my gear and head to lowsec, nothing but a frigate and a map. I spent two hours reading that damned map, running different filters, and found a home I still frequent quite a bit. I got down to business, was active in chat, and wound up making a lot of friends and enemies I still have laughs with today. Along the way I wound up being comfortably rich, flew with some damned fine pilots (much love to the waffles, I miss those guys), and just NOW, after all this time and trial, I feel confident enough in my character to start my own corporation and maybe show someone else what I've learned.
I managed all this without quests to give me all my gear and "help" me level by holding my hand and pointing me in the right direction. Most of us Eve barbarians LOVE that aspect of our little world. It's a niche MMO, get over it. We like the freedom to do what we want, when we want. We like the fact we made our own way in a HUGE universe full of danger. You want Disney Online to hold your hand, log in that specially titled Level 80 of yours. We live in a world that is more similar to Conan's world. It's harsh, it's dangerous, and we friggin well like it that way. You don't want to put in the effort? Don't let the door hit you.
Give the missus my regards
